So you’ve bought your groups tickets, you’ve arranged the travel and even lodging, right now all you require to give thought to is packing. “But wait. Precisely what items do I really need to take to a theme park?” I hear you ask.
Listed below I will inform you of the best ten things that it is wise to be sure you take to the parks along with you.
Comfy Traveling Sneakers
Take into consideration just how many miles you are going to be trekking during a day. You will likely forget about how much you actually travel, mainly because you will probably be having too much fun! Still wearing uncomfortable shoes not to mention getting blisters all over your ankles can truly affect your day. Specifically for the children because they will become very cranky!
Fluids
Taking a reusable bottle of water (or just about any fluid come to think of it) is generally a complete lifesaver throughout those very hot days out. If you’ve drank it all, you can stop by a nearby drinking fountain and refill it and reuse it repeatedly.
Tip: We usually freeze our drinks (non-carbonated) any time we stop by the theme parks. This lets them to remain icy cold throughout the day.
Camcorder
You would be shocked at how many people actually forget their digital camera. Sure the majority of parks have professional photographers (that demand lots of money for prints) but if you prefer to take your own personal photographic memories, remember that digital camera! There are often signs showcasing photograph opportunities and perhaps character meet and greets.
Sun block
Most likely the key thing to take into account! Florida is certain to be extremely darn hot, even throughout the the winter season. Even though the sun isn’t shining, you can still get sunburnt through clouds. Pack it!
ID
Occasionally while working at EPCOT I would ring someone up for their purchases, then they would hand me their credit card that was unsigned... At the moment Disney have a rule where we can’t take unsigned credit cards without an ID (drivers license or passport). Additionally if you are looking to consume alcohol (and are also over 21) then you need proof of your age. Especially when “drinking around the world” at EPCOT.
Zip Lock Food Baggy
A food bag?! Is that person serious? Without a doubt! Although not to put food items in. Consider this. You’re on a wet ride heading down the biggest drop, the raft plunges into the rivers and then covers you completely. But wait a moment! You left the cell in your pocket so at this point it’s utterly water logged not to mention won’t switch on. Wouldn’t it be truly great for those who packed a zip lock food bag to put it in so that it would be guarded against water? Pack it!
Cellphone
And what good could a food bag be without a phone? But then more importantly, what will happen if you should lose the kids in the crowds of people and you do not have a way to be contacted? (Don’t stress - happens all the time and security are prepared). Okay so the simplest way to prepare for this is to take a pen and mark your phone number on your kids arms to make sure they won’t forget your number to make contact with you. You should definitely let them know that IF you are separated to go to a park staff member and then let them know you need to contact the number on their arm. You will soon be back together.
Poncho/ Rain Jacket
No doubt they sell them inside the park, they also charge huge bucks for them. My greatest advice is to actually buy them from Walmart or Publix. The average selling price at the theme parks is about $8. Walmart price tag? $1.
Fun Fact: Did you know that Disney keep their ponchos closed away in a cupboard until it rains? The moment they see the storms they make a crazy dash to put out all the ponchos. Its time to make some dough for the Mouse... But seriously. Get them from Walmart. They might not be the best quality but it will save the seven bucks.
Change of Clothes (including under-wear) or maybe a Swimsuit
Remember earlier on after you were plunged into water of that water ride and got completely drenched? Well picture yourself having to walk around right through the day with soaking wet clothing! I’ve done it before. Sure enough the boiling hot sunshine will dry you somewhat, but if you don’t have a change of clothing you will find yourself truly miserable for several hours. And you’re supposed to be having a good time!
Money
Or possibly a credit card. You are going to most certainly need to carry a bit of bucks with you. There can be a heck of a lot of shopping to be done. Wouldn’t it be a bit of a shame if you forgot your wallet? Many of the things that you can find in the Orlando theme parks are unlike ordinary theme parks. All other parks sell a load of garbage that you simply shouldn’t buy! However at the Orlando theme parks (notably EPCOT) there is a ton of really cool items you could buy.

Free things in Florida
I realize exactly what you're thinking... "FREE?! In Orlando?! Yeah right!" But in truth there are numerous free attractions in Orlando. Of course undeniably they aren't likely to be as great as the more established attractions in the area, however if you're on a restricted budget and you need a "day filler" make certain you check some of these out.
Downtown Disney
You don't require a Disney ticket to experience Disney World stores and entertainment. Saunter the streets of Downtown Disney Marketplace for an array of boutiques and dining places for each and every budget. Make sure you see their Festival of the Masters (November), an arts-and-crafts event where young ones can make their own personal chalk masterpieces. Watch glassblowers at Arribas Brothers; go and visit the 4,400-square-foot (409-square-meter) LEGO Imagination Center to join in a "beat-the-clock" building contest, and also check out a 12-foot (3.6-meter) T. Rex and 30-foot (9-meter) sea serpent, each created of a large number of LEGO bricks.
The Legend of Spook Hill
Every year, a considerable amount of tourists who come to Orlando pay a visit to Lake Wales, Florida, to see whether the old Indian Legend of Spook Hill is true. A sign marks the position where you should stop the car, place it in neutral, and watch as your automobile mysteriously moves uphill.
Disney Fireworks
Simply you aren't in the park, it doesn't mean you can't check out the Magic Kingdom fireworks. There are a number of wonderful viewing locations at and around the Magic Kingdom Resort Hotels. Several of my favorites are The Polynesian hotel beach area, Bay Lake Tower, as well as Grand Floridian Resort. These particular places will usually play the shows soundtrack to allow you to have the full effect.
Disney's Boardwalk
Enjoy a relaxing stroll along Disney's Boardwalk, a re-creation of a 1930s-style Atlantic coastal community. The 45-acre (18-hectare) waterfront area is famous for its very own nightclubs and entertainment hot spots, yet the whole group are certain to delight in the various street musicians, magicians, or performers at no charge.
Old Town
Just south of the Orlando International Airport is Old Town, a unique entertainment park and shopping location. Over seven-hundred motorcyclists rally throughout the streets on Thursday night times. On Saturday evenings Old Town comes to life with a vintage-car parade featuring three hundred vehicles. While the area provides live entertainment every evening starting from 7:30 p.m., the Saturday nighttime show (7 p.m.) plays primarily '50s and '60s rock 'n' roll. Guests need to acquire tickets for the amusement park, however admission to Old Town, and additionally their concerts and car shows, is entirely free.
